This is what really happened to the Trapp Family, they got lost in their Opel and the Nazis caught up.

They got lost in their Opel and ended up in Vermont. How they got across the Atlantic is anybody’s guess.

And beer. Wait, I’m having beer right now. German beer, at that.

Most german beer I’m not so keen on for some reason. But, this certain stuff that we serve at our neighborhood Oktoberfest is the best. I just set up with my face paints under the tree. The kiddos come to me to be painted, and their parents keep my glass full. Good times. They have pretzels too.

Good times indeed. I’ve always been a pilsner guy. I like the sharp, clean taste, with just a hint of bitterness. My go-to is König Pilsner in the .5L can. But you have to pour it, and the glass has to hold the whole can. I used to drink Bitburger Pils, but I think this is better, at least in the can in the US.

I tend more toward darker ales. But then, most people in the US think Bud or Mich when you say pilsner. I have had some really good ones.

The only way I’ll drink Budweiser is if it’s no warmer than 33 degrees.

That stuff comes out exactly like it goes in. Your body doesn’t even bother to process that stuff.
